Description:	APO is a coed, non-selective, non-residential, service fraternity. Basically, this is a long way of saying that we are a service organization with social facets. Our local chapter, Lambda Nu, has about 40-50 brothers who participate in a variety of service projects each week. Throughout the week, projects include tutoring children and adults, working with boy scouts and girl scouts, hanging out at the John Avery Boys and Girls Club, assisting women and children in transitional housing at Genesis Home, and much more. Our fraternity's motto is Leadership, Friendship, and Service. We encourage all members to take initiative in running for elected office or becoming a project head for a new service site. In addition to the service aspect, there are many opportunities to meet great new people. We have weekly social events such as our on-campus brotherhood dinners as well as semi-formals, sectional conferences, retreats, and a senior banquet.
